On the job list view, where each job could contain custom job alerts to notify the engineer or user that's going to complete the job that there is something of interest within this particular job.
In my instance, there are images available, room access notes, a permit is required (Working at height, Electrical, Confined Spaces) or lone female.
Tooltip are added so if the user hovers over the icon it would indicate what the issue was.

It's something used within Clinical Systems within NHS for clinical staff on home visits, like you say draws attention to that visit or job ie a paperclip icon to indicate there are images available or a door to indicate access notes
